Reflexion Videography is always excited to start videotaping the very beginning of our clients’ wedding day - it sets the mood for the whole day and the final video. Jean & Joon’s pre-ceremony at the Westfields Marriott Dulles, VA ended up being very romantic, worm and cozy despite a little January chill. The LOVE was definitely in the air. See it for yourself...
Carolyn and Maher are an extremely fun couple. I had a great time filming their wedding day. Not too often, in Baltimore, do you get the opportunity to shoot outside in 60 degree weather in January. It was an amazing party with a mix of elegance and a feeling of "home". Take a look at their wedding snippet.
Reflexion Videography is very happy to announce the release of our NEW WEBSITE. We have been working on this beautiful site for quite sometime. It has a lot of great new features including: a brand new video Gallery with HD Samples; learn more about our crew members in the about us section; a redesigned Blog with recent news and some behind the scenes information and a new FAQ section to answer all you questions.
We are very excited to take this big leap in 2012 and really hope you will like it as much as we do! Let us know what you think.
Special thanks to the Web Developer, Spud from Dada Typo and our designer, Bryna for working hard on getting all this together.
Reflexion Videography is happy to announce a release of the new product. We are adding one more package to our selection. The Feature Collection is crafted for the couple that wants the full film experience. This cinematic (film-like movie) editing style focuses on all the details and little stories that make your wedding day. It gives you a full coverage of Bridal Preparation, Ceremony and Reception and is shot with DSLR cameras. This package provides a very personal and unique production that you will cherish for a lifetime. Here is a full length sample of Hayley & James' wedding.
It was a real pleasure working with Hayley & James last September. They are just one lovely couple! And all they wanted on their special day was to share their happiness and love with everybody. The Gibson Island Club provided us with the beautiful setting for gorgeous shots and mother nature surprised bride and groom with some "lucky" rain. Everybody had an absolute blast and made it very easy for us!
Marcella & Matthew's Wedding was super fun! Everybody in the bridal party had a blast with Mark from Hamilton Photography and gave Reflexion Videography plenty of cool footage to work with. The Bride & Groom are both Towson University graduates and they couldn't miss an opportunity to go back to the good times at their Alma Mater.
Who still remembers what they were doing on August 27th, when hurricane Irene was passing by? Well, Sandy & Tom were celebrating their wedding! They should be definitely set for a lifetime of happiness together - according to the old wives' tale, the knot in "tying the knot" becomes wet and is harder to break, thus making the marriage stronger. Here is Sandy & Tom's Wedding Highlight, so please take a look at their special day through Reflexion Videography's eyes.
And now lets sneak in "behind the scenes" and see what everybody was doing between the ceremony and reception. This was a super fun post ceremony photo shoot with Rachel Smith from Rachel Smith Photography and we enjoyed the crowd as well - all those outstanding personalities in one place make a great video!
The France-Merrick Preforming Arts Center presents
A LOVE STORY
Let's start from the very beginning of this modern day fairytale… Meredith and Shawn met two years ago, had a perfect first date and managed to maintain a long distance relationship. He proposed in the middle of the private dance lesson (very romantic!) and she said YES.
This was the most theatrical wedding we ever shot. The ceremony and reception took place on the stage of The Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, MD on the 25th of June 2011. It was like an actual show starting with their own marquee and the playbill.
We also would like to take a moment and thank Ms. Kimberly Dorgan (Director of Special Events) from The France-Merrick Performing Arts Center for making it a wonderful experience not for Bride and Groom only but for us too.
Reflexion Videography had a pleasure of producing and editing a video for The Root 100 gala at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. on the 5th of November, 2011. Some of the most influential young African American leaders were there to accept their awards, network and have a great time. The Root is the leading online source of information from an African American perspective. They cover the news from politics, business and culture to the local announcement of births, weddings and more.
Videography is not just a job, it is lots of fun. That is how I would describe the Wedding of Alex and Aubrey. I wasn't just the videographer I felt like an invited guest who was just shooting the event. I first met Alex and Aubrey at a wedding in 2009. When I first met Alex and Aubrey we hit it off right away. Like me, they both love Orioles baseball, playing sports and being dog owners.
Both the ceremony and reception was held at the Howard County Conservancy in Woodstock, MD. This was my first time working at this location. It was a great place to shoot a wedding. The high grass fields, a beautiful garden and an old barn provided me with interesting shots to enhance their wedding video. It was a hot day but we found nice cool places to shoot their video.
A couple of weeks before the wedding, I asked Alex and Aubrey, what they were most excited about for their upcoming wedding. They replied, "Finally becoming Mr and Mrs! We are excited to have all of the people from different parts of our lives in one room to celebrate our marriage." We had loads of fun and by the looks of it so did everyone who came to the wedding.
Take a look at their sneak peek video snippet!
I loved working with the photographer they selected: Lisa Boggs Photography. This was my first time working with Lisa and she is very talented. Here are some photos from her blog:
[by Inga Colley] Reflexion Videography had the pleasure of videotaping the "2011 Annual Dance Concert" at the Scott Center (Carroll Community College, Westminster) on the 17th of June. Project C Dance Collective is celebrating 5 years of Artistry, Education & Performance this year! The dance called "Amy Amy Amy," (choreographed by Zelda Simms) opened the concert and just happened to be one of our favorites. Take a look at it.
It was more fun than work for me because I enjoy all forms of dancing. I use to dance in high school and I watch different dance shows on TV these days... This concert was pretty awesome and it looked like everybody had a blast. The director of Project C, Jen Graham, seems to be an amazing artist and a wonderful teacher herself. I was under the impression that everybody adores her and her talent. Great concert indeed!
We had the honor of videotaping Folaremi & Temilade's beautiful Nigerian wedding over memorial day weekend. Nigerian weddings are so much fun as the colors and the pageantry are just amazing! Remi and Tem looked stunning and all of their guests had a GREAT time! Here is a sneak peak of some shots that Nick and Jeff took from the wedding. More samples are coming soon.
Another beautiful day, at the historic Evergreen Museum & Library. This was the setting for Luciana & Stephen's ceremony and reception on Memorial Day weekend. Nick and Andy had a great time videotaping all the special moments throughout the day. The band kept the guests on their feet all night long, giving us and Natalie & Jamie from Borrowed Blue Photography many fun shots. Take a look at their snippet.
Luciana and Stephen couldn't be a nicer couple. We wish them a lifetime of laughs and great moments.
